Bathroom Clutter Containment (Photo Sue Womersley)

I admire minimalist decor … to be so clean, strict, almost zen  … but it would be completely beyond me to live that way.  So I like stuff.  Who knows why we like what we like.  Enter the simplicity of a tray.  When you have stuff, a tray can be your best decorating friend.  Somehow containing all of the beautiful items together visually declutters a surface.  It still must be tidy, of course, but as in this example in a bathroom, smaller jewellry dishes, crystal bowls of cotton balls and perfume bottles go from ordinary to extraordinary when combined together in a laquered tray the colour of the bathroom.
